Весной к нам обратилась промышленная компания из Санкт-Петербурга с запросом оперативно спроектировать систему пожарной сигнализации и оповещения для своего нового комплекса зданий, приобретенного под расширение производства.
The design and installation of integrated security systems is our core area of expertise. Projects of this type are delivered quickly and with a high standard of detailed design documentation.
The facility consisted of a group of workshops with varying numbers of floors, with a total area exceeding 30,000 sq.m, featuring a wide range of technological processes and spaces classified under different fire and explosion hazard categories.
A key stage of such projects is a thorough pre-design site survey with a full assessment of actual conditions. This includes analysis of existing documentation and comprehensive photo and video recording of the premises for the subsequent development of a volumetric building model that forms the basis of the architectural design. While this step is relatively simple and does not involve full-scale laser scanning or modeling, the complete capture and documentation of the actual condition of the premises makes it possible to produce fully developed working design documentation. This approach is fundamentally different from “office-style” design, where routes and assemblies are drawn on plans without considering the real condition of the facility and the constraints of future installation.
Based on the collected data, detailed working documentation was prepared, including the use of partial 3D models of the facility. This made it possible to identify and resolve clashes between cable routes, structures, and existing engineering systems at an early stage. This foundation significantly reduces the scope of changes during construction and installation works and minimizes the risk of unforeseen on-site adjustments that could impact the partner’s schedule and budget.
For the client, this design approach delivers several immediate benefits: a reduced number of changes during the installation phase, lower likelihood of revisions to design documentation, and greater cost predictability
As a result, we delivered to the partner a highly detailed package of working design documentation for subsequent system installation, with minimal risk of cost escalation under the future construction contract.
